IMO:
this is the wrong poster... actually tt poster was juon the curse 1 and 2... both films were not shown on cinemas as they were direct to video films... so most has only watched juon the grudge 1 n 2... the grudge 1 still can understand... grudge 2 is so interrelated to so many stories u will be left gong gong... like this character story suddenly the scene pops out another character from another story previously... i thought it was pretty good at making flash backs here and there, then explaining the weird things...

if u never watch juon the curse 1 and 2 or any of them, u will never understand why did toshio n kayako died... actually kayako got crush on toshio's teacher n the father got jealous when he read about it in her diary then go kill them... this is just a vague one la, i cant remember the detailed reasons...

wah lau, yet another touching romantic story... this one is even better than failan man, ppl who like romance movies must watch this one, so many heartwarming scenes... to think that i always thought korea only specialise in romantic comedies, they are oso pretty good in romance types leh...

it stands out from failan becos failan the starting u dun see anything nice about it, it only gets better towards the middle n the end while the classic is already attracting u right from the start... actually her mother's story is even better than her daughter one becos of the sacrifices all 3 parties have to make, while the daughter part is just 2 ppl like each other n the other is just extra down there... but later in the movie u find out both stories will inter relate and how fate brought them back together... a really must watch!!!

Title: Getting Any?
Film Director(s): Takeshi Kitano
Film Producer(s): Masayuki Mori, Hisao Nabeshima, Takio Yoshida
Released: 1995 [Japan]
Genre: Comedy
    Sub-Genre: Romance

Overview:
Asao is a daydreamer who fantasizes about having wild, passionate sex in a car. Since he has neither a car nor a girlfriend, he embarks on a series of slapstick adventures in search of both: he sells his grandfather's internal organs, robs a bank, steals an armored car, searches for buried treasure, becomes an actor in a Zatoichi movie, joins the yakuza, and even becomes an experiment subject in a human invisibility project. Unlike any of the stylized violent films that preceded it, "Getting Any?" is arguably the film that best represents Takeshi Kitano, who--many seem to have forgotten--started off as an off-beat stand-up comedian specializing in farcical and bad-taste comedy.

Cast:
Moeko Ezawa, Hakuryu, Tokie Hidari, Yojin Hino, Minoru Iizuka, Takeshi Kitano, Akiji Kobayashi, Yuuji Minakata, Masumi Okada, Ren Osugi, Shintaro Takado, Susumu Terajima, Kanji Tsuda, Yuurei Yanagi, Tetsuya Yuuki. . .

IMO:
it started out as funny initially but the ending abit of a let down... the loser dreams of getting laid and he thought if he has a car, there will be sex... so he went to an automobile shop and told the salesman he wans a car suitable for sex... that failed becos he is poor and he can only get a laoya car, then he thought owning a convertible stands a higher chance of getting gers...

then he thought if u fly on first class, u will get first class service (air stewardess stripping for u), but he no money so he wans to rob a bank... to rob a bank he needs a gun, to have a gun he have to either go to the police station and demand a gun from them or go to a gunmaker factory to work... he chose the factory then a car pulled up in front of him and out step the driver who is bloodied, this gangster driver hands the loser his gun and told him to take care of both the car n the gun n gangster died on the spot...

of course his robbery attempts fail becos he was too stupid, dropping the ropes without tying it to something first, being told off by the bank staff to take a queue ticket and wait for his turn, ordering the bank to close the shutters which closes but he was outside...

so he gives up that idea and thought if he was famous, his fans will wan to fuck him... so he decided to try acting, since zatoichi is blind, he cant open his eyes when fighting so he took a manure scoop instead of his walking stick cum katana and anyhow whack... in another scene he was required to save someone's son from a house on fire, so he went and pour a pail of liquid on himself, it was supposed to be water but he cannot see mah becos he was supposed to be blind then end up he took the pail of oil beside the pail of water... he go in end up he become real fireman...

then he dreamt of riding in a cessna (some small plane) which oso provides some in-flight service (another stripper stewardess). then another gangster car pulled up in front of him and gave him a big packet of dope and he died... loser went to sell the dope and get to ride his cessna, he got his inflight service too, it was the pilot who was dancing in a gstring... the pilot ened the show by pretending to jump off the plane, then the loser and another passenger fighting among each other to get the only parachute left... the passenger was a hitman but the loser dun believe and go snap his neck... then the pilot came back and say just now he fake 1 but the hitman oreadi die liao, so the loser wore his clothes...

when the plane come down the yakuza was there to greet their hired hitman, thats how the loser joined the yakuza for more silly antics...

taken from: http://www.hkflix.com/xq/asp/filmID.2222/qx/details.htm

IMO:
aiya the overview never say clearly one, only say about the voyeurism nia... actually the peeping tom lives upstairs and the couple live directly below... the peeper doesnt live there really, it was just a temp. shelter for him to hide from the police as he was a student demonstrator on the wanted list... and the couple has an interesting story, the husband always locks the outside of his door whenever he goes out for work, meaning he locked his wife inside... his wife very very seldom go out, always stay at home lying in bed, dancing around, waiting for husband to come home for sex...

the peeper managed to get the keys to the couple's house when the husband clumsy fall down then the keys slipped out but he never see, then the peeper go n kapok loh...

the reason why the wife duno that the peeper is having sex with her is becos the husband always do it from behind... then the peeper oso do it from behind to make her tink is her husband when actually its otherwise...

and the couple first met when he raped her while he was trying to catch her father who was a teacher... he thought the father is the instigator of the student riots but then only his daughter at home only... so man n woman alone, duno each other, the guy go n rape her from where else but behind... thats y they never have sex in the normal position... i oso duno y the ger go n marry him... he gives gd sex?

Title: Snake Of June
Starring: Asuka Kurosawa, Yuji Koutari, Shinya Tsukamoto
Director: Shinya Tsukamoto
Studio: Happinet Pictures
Genre: Drama

Overview:
Shinya Tsukamoto's films have always focused on the family unit, or more precisely on the unity between couples. Most of the attention for his work has concentrated somewhat disproportionately on the sci-fi / cyberpunk elements, the theme of bodily mutation and the similarities with the work of Davids Cronenberg and Lynch. Although these are certainly major factors, at heart Tsukamoto's films consistently deal with relationships and the influences that threaten them.

Rarely was this more apparent than in A Snake of June, which recycles the love triangle premise of his earlier films Gemini and Tokyo Fist, but dispenses with the horror/fantasy overtones of the former and the bloodspurting brutality of the latter. This is the story of a couple first and foremost, not a genre film that happens to have a couple as its subject.

Shinya Tsukamoto's Rokugatsu No Hebi (A Snake of June) is an erotic drama abut a married couple. Rinko (Asuka Kurosawa) and her husband Shigehiko (Yuji Koutari) have seen their marriage become sexless, which frustrates Rinko. One day she receives a letter containing pictures of her pleasuring herself. The person who sends the letter calls her and reveals himself to be Igushi (Shinya Tsukamoto), a former psychiatric patient of Rinko's. Igushi begins to order Rinko to perform increasingly erotic acts. After Shigehiko finds one of Igushi's letters, the husband becomes involved in the mental games - with surprising results for their marriage. A Snake of June was screened at both the Venice Film Festival and the Toronto Film Festival.

IMO:
this is one of the artistic movies made by this guy... the way they present it is nice, starting from the wife's side, then next chapter is the husband, and the final is the wife, husband n the blackmailer... every scene is in black n white n raining always... they oso feature the lovely snail sometimes and as well as the big hole on the ceiling where the bathtub lies... to let ppl see u soaking in the water or to relax i duno...

Released: 2001 [Korea]
Genre: Action/Adventure
    Sub-Genre: Historical

Overview:
In 1375, China was in a state of chaos because of fighting between the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. The Korea Dynasty, one of Korea's ancient kingdoms, sent a delegation of many diplomats, soldiers and a silent slave as envoys to make peace with the new Chinese Ming government. However, this delegation was accused of spying and exiled to a remote desert. On the way, they were attacked by Yuan troops who killed all the Ming soldiers, leaving only Korea warriors. The head envoy, General CHOI Jung of the Royal Guard, decides by himself that they must return to Korea. Vice Envoy LEE Ji-hun dies from the strain of the march, and tension builds between LEE's bodyguard slave Yeosol and CHOI Jung.

After overcoming countless obstacles, the Korea warriors arrive at a peddler's inn in the middle of the desert and run into Yuan cavalry who have kidnapped Ming princess Buyong. CHOI Jung falls in love with Buyong the moment he sees her. Meanwhile, Yeosol arrives later, dragging vice envoy LEE Ji-hun's body. He cuts off the head of a gypsy who spits on the dead body. Yuan general Rambulhwa sees Yeosol decapitate the gypsy with one strike. Princess Furong also looks on from her wagon. Yeosol is eventually taken captive by the Yuan cavalry. CHOI Jung picks up a note from Buyong written in her blood that says 'Help', and he decides to rescue her so that they can get a boat bound for Korea. CHOI Jung's aide Ganam and a warrior from the Commoner's Army, Jinlip, oppose the idea, saying it would be futile. However, they end up proceeding with the rescue with Jinlip shooting the first arrow. Buyong is rescued, but only at the expense of many Korea warriors' lives.

Princess Furong and the Korea warriors, whose destination is Nanjing (the old southern capital of China), arrive at the Yellow River Valley where they find all the ferry boats burned by Yuan soldiers. There they run into a group of Han tribe refugees. Furong feels empathy for her people and promises to give the warriors a boat to Korea if they take the refugees to the coast next to Mud Castle. They arrive at Mud Castle after even more trials, only to find the castle in ruins and no Ming soldiers. By this time, the Yuan soldiers have caught up with them and the Korea travelers become increasingly nervous. The underlying conflict between CHOI Jung and Yeosol over princess Buyong also deepens. Now they must choose. Give up princess Buyong or fight to the death together? The moment of truth approaches... Can they return to Korea safely?
